Tasting notes: All Amarone is the result of drying the grapes for 3 to 5 months before pressing. Capitel de Roari is the first friend of Righetti best selection of grapes and with a delicate treatment with oak. This is a well-balanced Amarone that still exhibits much of the dark fruit flavors, earthiness and meaty components expected of this DOC. Aromas of black cherry and plums joined by raw and earthy aromas. It moves on the palate beautifully with a mix of dried and dark fruit with a bit of meat on the finish. Elegant but with good concentration. You won’t find many wines at this price and quality.

Food pairings: Bolognese, cheese, goes well with beef or lamb dishes.

Third party reviews: With a dash of raisonné grapes and smooth chocolate on the nose, there’s no mistaking what Amarone is waiting for. Classic flavors of mocha, stewed figs and baked plums pass through the velvety mouth. A remarkable example of a praiseworthy expression.
