Featured Whiskies  of the Month

Loch Lomond 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky 0.7L 46%

Our September pick, and an easy one. This is the whisky the IWSC named the world’s best single malt Scotch in 2025 — and it’s also the second dram we pour in our INITIATION masterclass. People ask for the bottle after every session, so here it is.

Eighteen years in American oak, bottled at 46%, natural colour, non-chill filtered. Baked apple and caramel first, then honey and a touch of grapefruit, and right at the end a quiet thread of smoke — gentle, nothing like an Islay peat monster.

And the Andorra part: €69.95 here — roughly a third less than French retail. Same bottle, same box.

Nose: baked apple, honeysuckle, caramel
Palate: orchard fruit, toasted oak, honey
Finish: long — dried tea leaves and soft smoke

Want to taste it before you buy? It’s poured in our INITIATION masterclass — 2 hours, five whiskies, launch special 49 €.

Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon 0.75L 50%

If you follow bourbon, you already know this bottle: made at Buffalo Trace in Kentucky, bottled-in-bond at 100 proof, and allocated nearly everywhere it’s sold. Finding it in Europe at a sane price is the hard part — which is exactly why it’s our second pick this month.

In the glass it’s the classic it’s supposed to be: caramel and butterscotch up front, vanilla and a little rye spice behind, then a soft, warm finish with a leaf of tobacco. 100 proof, but it never shouts.

€69.95 at the shop — in France you’ll pay nearly double, if you find it at all.

Nose: caramel corn, butterscotch, vanilla
Palate: toffee, warm bread, gentle rye spice
Finish: soft pepper, tobacco leaf, long

We pour it in the CONNAISSEUR masterclass (3 hours, 129 €) — course four, right where it belongs.
