Rare Whisky Ownership Program — Collect, Store & Sell
Some bottles are for tonight. Others are for keeping. Our Ownership Program lets you buy rare and collectable whisky at Andorran prices, keep it safely in our cellar in Andorra la Vella, and — when the day comes — sell it on to another collector without the bottle ever leaving the vault.
How it works
1 · Buy at Andorran prices
Andorra charges no tax on alcohol and only 4.5% VAT — while in France and Spain the same bottle carries excise duty plus 20–21% VAT. Same whisky, same reference — typically 20–40% less, depending on the bottle. Choose from more than 350 references in our shop, or ask us to source a specific bottle for you (form below).
2 · Store it with us — first year free
Your bottles rest in our secure, insured cellar in Andorra la Vella. Each one is registered with its serial and photograph, and you receive an ownership certificate in your name. Collect whenever you want — on your next trip, or years from now. After the free first year, storage continues at a modest annual rate.
3 · Enjoy it — or sell it
When you’re ready to part with a bottle, we offer it to our network of collectors and members. Because the bottle stays in the cellar, ownership simply transfers on our register — no shipping, no customs, no risk to the bottle. We handle the buyer, the paperwork and the secure card payment, and take a commission only when it sells. For selected bottles, insured worldwide shipping can also be arranged under our export policy.

Cellaring & Consignment at WHISKY.AD
Cellaring (safekeeping). Bottles purchased at WHISKY.AD with a value of €300 or more can stay safely in our cellar in Andorra La Vella — upright, protected from light, insured up to €1,000 per bottle, with higher declared-value cover available. The first years are on us: 1 year free for bottles of €300 or more, 3 years for €500 or more, and 5 years for bottles of €1,000 or more or purchases totalling €5,000 or more. After that, cellaring costs just €20 per bottle per year, plus IGI. Your bottles remain yours at all times; collect them in person or by local delivery within Andorra whenever you wish.
Selling through us (consignment). When the time comes to part with a bottle, we can sell it for you — in your name and on your behalf, from an agreed listing price of €500. Every listing is marked “Sold on behalf of the owner.” Our commission, plus IGI, is 20% for listings from €500 (minimum €75), 15% from €2,000, and 12% from €5,000 — and bottles originally purchased at WHISKY.AD with their receipt pay 15% or the applicable rate, whichever is lower. We handle everything: authentication, photography, listing in four languages, display in the store, insured safekeeping while listed, payment and age verification. Proceeds reach your account by bank transfer within 14 days of cleared payment. Consigned bottles are sold with the legal guarantee applicable to second-hand goods.
How it works. Both services are set up in a few minutes at the store, with a signed agreement and a documented condition record for each bottle. Fees are payable by card or bank transfer. Bottles leave Andorra only under our export policy. Read the full terms in section 16 of our Terms & Conditions.
