Description
Every bottle is filled from one hand-picked barrel, so no two are quite alike — the label carries its own barrel and bottling details. The barrels are drawn from the upper reaches of the barrelhouse, where the temperature swings hardest and the wood works fastest.
Nose Bright fruit and sweet aromatics, toasty oak, honeyed fruit and golden syrup with a clean nuttiness.
Palate Robust, with caramel and spice — honey, popcorn and cinnamon balanced by peppery spice, clove and toasted oak. Noticeably drier than Old No. 7.
Finish Spiced fruit and oak hold on, with a lingering herbal warmth as the sweetness fades.
Made in Lynchburg, Tennessee, and charcoal-mellowed before it ever reaches the barrel.
