Description
Drawn from a small number of hand-picked casks, predominantly first-fill sherry-seasoned oak, chosen for a particularly raisin-forward character. The ruby mahogany colour is entirely natural — no age statement, no added colouring, just an unusually rich selection of wood.
Nose Soft vanilla with rich raisin, then a sweet fusion of fresh apple, lemon and orange.
Palate Intense sweet raisin gives way to vanilla and dark chocolate, layered with light citrus zest and oak.
Finish Long, rich and velvety.
Rare Cask is re-composed each year by The Macallan’s Whisky Mastery Team from a tiny proportion of the distillery’s most exceptional casks, and released in strictly limited quantities.
