About this bottle
Port Ellen closed in 1983, and its remaining casks turned it into one of the most sought-after names in Scotch whisky. Independent bottlings from its final years are scarce, and sherry-matured ones even more so.
This whisky was distilled in September 1982 and spent 33 years in a single ex-sherry butt before being bottled undiluted in October 2015 for Hunter Laing’s Old & Rare Platinum Selection. Ask us about availability and condition.
