Description
The first XO in the rum category, created in 1991 by Master Blender Jerry Edwards. Rums aged between five and seventeen years, distilled on both traditional column and double retort pot stills, then married across three woods — ex-American whiskey, ex-Bourbon and ex-Cognac casks.
Nose A precise balance of vanilla, oak and dry spice.
Palate Salted caramel, baked fig and clove over dark chocolate.
Finish Round, smooth and richly creamy, with real length.
Mount Gay traces its Barbados distilling heritage to 1703, which makes it one of the oldest rum brands in the world. The current Triple Cask Blend has taken Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2025 and 2026, and Double Gold in 2024.
