Description
Mackmyra’s everyday whisky, named for the Swedish ironworks — the bruk — of the Gästrikland region where it is made. A four-cask marriage of first-fill bourbon, first-fill Swedish oak, first-fill sherry and ex-bourbon, with a small portion of the distillery’s smoky malt, dried over Swedish peat and juniper wood.
Nose Butterscotch, citrus, pear, liquorice, banana and mint, with light spicy tones of Swedish peat and juniper.
Palate Fresh, fruity and peppery — a youthful fruitiness with a spiced toffee character.
Finish Spicy oak and apple pie, while staying light and nimble.
Non-chill-filtered and naturally coloured. Mackmyra was founded in 1999 by eight friends and became Sweden’s first malt whisky distillery.
