About this bottle
The archetypal sherried Speyside malt. Matured for a minimum of eighteen years exclusively in hand-picked sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, with its light mahogany colour coming entirely from the wood — The Macallan adds no colouring.
Nose Caramel, sherry-soaked sultanas, orange peel and winter spice with ground cinnamon, a wisp of smoke, dried herbs and aged tea.
Palate Full-bodied: mature oak, stem ginger, soaked raisins, sticky dates and dried dark fruits, with creamy vanilla, dark chocolate, orange and tobacco leaf.
Finish Cinnamon and oak char.
